Native of France, David Pasquiet arrived in Switzerland in 1988. He first worked as a chef in a family hotel in Verbier and then, for 10 years, in one of the most prestigious hotels in the ski resort of Crans-Montana in Valais. David and his wife, Virginie, subsequently bought a nougat shop which they quickly transformed into a chocolate shop, a product that offered David the means to express all his creativity. The passion for chocolate was immediate, and so was his success. After opening a first shop, L’Instant Chocolat, in Crans-Montana, they
opened a second in Sion in 2007, followed by a third in Vevey in 2017. Passionate about his art, David invents new products and textures every year. Just like a designer, he takes out his collections, at Christmas or Easter, and often participates in fairs and competitions. In 2013, he was given the title of Swiss Chocolatier of the Year in Berne, where he largely dominated the competition. The same year, he distinguished himself at the World Chocolate Championship in Paris, placing in the top ten.
«David’s creations represent the accomplishment of precise and pure gestures. His work demonstrates many similarities between the chocolate artisan and the watchmaker. »
